- Avoid labels: “You are bipolar,” “you are OCD,” or ” you are a narcissist, etc. Deal with the person without adding labels. This will help to reduce self and social stigma.
- Speak Out against Stigma: Call out offensive jokes or negative stereotypes in media and conversations.

- Prioritize Self-Care: Dedicate time for regular physical activity (e.g., 30-minute walks), nutritious food, and adequate sleep.
- Professional help: Normalize seeking therapy and treatment for mental health just as one would for a physical injury.
- Build Social Connections: Nurture relationships with family and friends to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. According to research, lack of positive social connections is a risk factor for poor mental health.
